Этот финальный эпизод есть в определении сюжета 326 в ATU, однако арабские традиции, которые удалось проверить по первоисточникам, а также сербская и мальгашская его не содержат. В. Лиунгман (Liungman 1961: 64) считал, что сюжет представлен только в Европе. Записи ранее начала 19 в. не известны (Delarue 1957: 305)
